Sajou Mellac Model -set of 40 Needles

Designed by Christine Vlasic for Yarra Design. Bonbonierie is a scrap quilt combining plains and prints to make a classic pinwheel.

Based on an antique design, this thread caddy is the pefect way to organize and store your favorite threads. We have designed die cut cardboard pieces that are simple to cover with fabric and easily fold into place. This kit is designed by l’uccello and made in Melbourne.

You will need

1 Fat Quarter (50cm x 55cm) of light weight fabric. When considering your fabric selection, we recommend a busy print, preferably without a pale background.

Pack of 15 size 9 straw – milliners needles. These are perfect for basting, gathering and oversewing

These needles are made from steel and manufactured in the Bohin factory in Saint-Sulpice-sur-Risle. Involving 27 different steps and two months before the needles are ready for sale these high quality needles are finished to perfection. An excellent addition to your sewing kit.

Manufactured from beech wood this screwed wooden hoop measures 6.5″ or 16.5cms and is approximately 0.8mm in height.  These high quality hoops have been expertly made in Istanbul since 1985.

A beautiful set of 40 sewing and embroidery needles, perfect for many sewing darning and embroidery tasks.

The needles are presented in a card and the cover represents a cloth illustrating and called the Trades of the Manufactory from the Museum of Jouy.
The interior is a checkered motif, one of the coordinates from the Sajou Plaisirs de la campagne pink fabric.

Each card contains the following needles.

-Sharp point: 6 n°5 long needles, 6 n°7 long needles, 4 n°9 long needles, 2 n°3 darning needles and 2 n°5darning needles.

-Round point: 2 n°20 needles, 4 n°22 needles, 4 n°24 needles, 4 n°26 needles and 6 n°28 needles.
