The Eiffel Tower chromed embroidery scissors is a re-issue of a 19th century model. The Eiffel Tower was constructed for the Universal Exhibition in 1889. It was during this exhibition that Jacques-Simon Sajou was awarded a silver medal.
The blades are very pointed allowing for precision work.
Each pair is 10cms in length and their production involves no less than a dozen qualified people. The blades on these quality scissors are perfectly adjusted to form a pair making them a joy to use.

Beeswax is traditionally used by tailors to strengthen thread when hand sewing buttonholes. Keep it by the sewing machine and pull your thread across it a couple of times before snipping off the thread end and it will be as easy as pie to get the stiff neat end through the machine needle.
