Vintage French Seedpacket Needle Keep -Turnip

This quilt features some classic old quilt blocks, combined with a super scrappy collection of fabrics, it is designed to complement l’uccello’s larger floral fabrics and our wide collection of smaller prints and wovens.

Kit includes:

Over 80 different fabrics, larger scale prints are generally fat 1/8th or larger, smaller prints and wovens are mostly fat 16ths. This collection of fabrics includes many of the fabrics in our original quilt as pictured on the pattern. Each kit will be very similar but may vary slightly for the one photographed , almost all of the fabrics are cotton, a small amount contain linen. There is over 7 metres of fabric in total, this should be sufficient for the quilt, however it will depend on how much fussy cutting you prefer. We do recommend adding any special fabrics from your stash that you think complement the selection, the scrappy look of this quilt only gets better with more fabrics.

The quilt was machine pieced but can also be done by hand if that is your preference, the kit includes 3 templates to make cutting out easier either way.

The finished size of the quilt is approximately 2 metres x 1.8 metres,

Please note , it was not possible to include all of fabrics in the original quilt as some are old, out of print fabrics. However, many of the original fabrics are in the kits and they present a lovely selection very close to the original.

The kits will be ready to ship early to mid January.

This lovely panel features reproductions of treasures from our archive of antique textiles and ephemera. Lightly embellished with simple embroidery stitches, the kit includes everything you need including thread.  Printed in Melbourne on a linen cotton base, ready for you to embroider and embellish as you wish. Finished size approximately 16cm x16cm.

This kit includes:

1 linen panel, backing fabric French cotton ricrac, ribbon, embroidery threads , 1 skein of metallic thread and lavender.
