This delightful collection of thread and ribbon storage cards feature recreations of antique ephemera and fabrics from the l’uccello archive. They are a beautiful and practical way to store treasured threads, lace and ribbons.

Set of 7 perspex templates for the Mon Ami quilt pattern.

These templates are for all of the triangles, the four pointed star and the half square triangles (method two), the rest of the squares and rectangles in the pieced blocks are not included.

Mon Ami is an album style quilt. The name translates to My Friend, and it features appliqué images, some blocks symbolising  the bonds of love, friendship & good fortune.

The quilt features 5 classic old pieced quilt blocks and 5 lovely needle turn appliqué blocks, combined with a beautiful scrappy collection of fabrics. It is designed to complement l’uccello’s larger floral fabrics and some of our favourite medium – smaller size prints and wovens.

The finished size of the quilt is approximately 77″ x 77″

Limited edition l’uccello Ephemera Panel featuring 18 different Vintage French Seed Labels, printed on lovely cotton/linen lightweight canvas.

Perfect to embellish as you wish and incorporate into a variety of projects such as slow stitching, bags & purses, quilts, scented sachets, pin cushions and small gifts.

A scrappy quilt featuring 2 antique style blocks & a border inspired by the architectural features of our former store in the Nicholas Building.

Too many fabrics are never enough, we have used over 100 fabrics in this scrappy quilt and refreshed its traditional style with an eclectic mix of fabric types and styles. Although machine pieced it can easily be adapted if you prefer hand piecing. The quilt features 2 old blocks, one a modification of a Centre Diamond block and the other is a traditional Amish block, (as referenced in Barbara Brackman’s Encyclopedia of Quilt Patterns) and the wide border is inspired by the decorative cornice on the ceiling of the room in The Nicholas Building where l’uccello was once located.

This project is one of a series of distinctive designs illustrating glorious garden flowers and vegetables. Designed by l’uccello and printed in Melbourne.

The finished approximate measurements are: Unfolded 38 x 28 cm. Folded 13 x 28 cm. A colaboration between l’uccello and Lisa Mattock.

You will need

A collections of fabrics and embellishments for the outside huswif panels and inner pockets equivalent to approximately 30-40cms of 110cm wide fabric. You will need to allow extra if you plan to do lots of fussy cutting.
